REPUBLIC DAY CELEBRATED AT METRO

Republic Day of India is a significant National event. India marks January 26th as Republic Day every year. In 2023 the country is celebrating its 74th Republic Day. It is celebrated with great enthusiasm by people throughout the country. It is celebrated to remember India's constitution which came into force on 26th January 1950.

The day was celebrated in our school with great eclat. The school ground was tastefully decorated with markings for the parade and colourful flags were seen flying high.  Everyone was feeling very patriotic and happy because it was a matter of great pride for all of us.

       The programme began with school prayer. Our School Principal Mrs.S.Sulochana Natarajan delivered the welcome address. One of the glories of the day is Flag hoisting and March past which was a very spectacular and colourful event by the school Band NCC, Scout, and Guides.

        The programme was presided over by the Chief Guest Rtn.E.S.Balagopal School Committee chairman took the salute. The chief guest addressed the gathering; N.K.Sona of class 12th gave a speech on Republic Day.

         Awardees were honoured by the Chief Guest Rtn.E.S.Balagopal school committee Chairman, Correspondent Rtn L.S.Sidhuram, President Rtn.Jayakumar and all the Rotarians. The mass drill on Republic day with properties by 6th, 7th 8th, and 9th students was very spectacular and the programme came to an end with the National Anthem and sweets were distributed to the students.
